INGREDIENTS
· 1 c unsalted butter
· ½ c sugar
· ½ c brown sugar
· 1 + ½ tsp vanilla extract
· 2 eggs
· 1 + ½ tsp baking soda
· 1 tsp salt
· 2 + ½ c all-purpose flour
· 1 + ½ c chopped Christmas Crack (plus a little extra for topping)
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in 15-second intervals (about 4 minutes total) until the mixture is brown and bubbly. Be sure to watch carefully to prevent it from boiling over. You can also make the brown butter on the stovetop if you prefer.
Set the bowl of brown butter aside to cool.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir to mix.
Once the butter mixture has cooled slightly, whisk in the eggs. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
Stir in the chopped Christmas Crack until evenly distributed.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scoop teaspoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing each ball about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12 minutes, then remove from the oven and immediately top with more Christmas Crack.
